Core Mechanics

📍 GPS Check-in

Users must be physically present at a venue (GPS verified) to enter its Live Room and see/interact with other attendees.

👋 Wave System

Send a "wave" (connection request) to anyone in the Live Room. Both must wave for chat to unlock. Daily wave limit with +1 per referral.

✨ Coincidences

When two users both wave at each other, they "coincide." A real-time celebration modal fires via Supabase postgres_changes subscription.

💬 12-Hour Chat

After mutual match, a 12-hour chat window opens. Pro plan extends to 24 hours. Chat history stored in Supabase `messages` table.

🟢 Live Rooms

Venue-specific rooms showing only verified check-ins. Room chat is public to all checked-in users. Profiles disappear on check-in expiry.

📊 Check-in Statuses

Users can set their vibe: Open to Meet, Just Here, Group, Buy a Drink, Networking, or Looking — shown on their card in the Live Room.

Browser Push API integration for incoming waves. use-wave-notifications.ts hook with Supabase Realtime subscriptions.

🎁 Referral System

Each user gets a unique referral code. Each successful referral grants +1 daily wave to the referrer. Tracked in referrals table.

Stripe-powered. 7-day free trial. Unlimited waves, 24hr chat, priority visibility. Embedded checkout via @stripe/react-stripe-js.

🤝 Onboarding Flow

5-step modal dialog on first login: Welcome → Check-in → Connect → Chat → Notifications. Supabase RPC: mark_onboarded().

🗑 Account Deletion

Full account deletion via deleteMyAccount server function. Required by Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v).
